Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Business Development Manager - Training Center H/F (f/m) to join Airbus' Training Center (ST) within our Customer Services Departmentbased in Toulouse, France.

You will be responsible to develop new ideas to increase Training Services market share through expansion of the network and develop new concepts and new tools to pioneer on the training delivery. If you like challenges, like to learn new things and are ready to think out of the box, please join our international Team in Toulouse and Regional members. You will be part of the success of the Training Services and the Simulation Training Organization in a growing market.

    Training Services is a key actor who helps our customers to receive, train and operate their aircraft in a safe and productive environment. From Cadets Training to Recurrent Pilots Training, from Basic Maintenance Training to Upgrade and Cabin Crews initial, Airbus Training Services delivers unique End to End solutions.

Airbus Training Center has nearly 1300 members including of Training Services, Flight Operations Support & Training Standards, Simulation (GO5) & Training Solutions, NAVBLUE and Program & Performance Management

Your challenges:

  • You will be a member of the Business Development Team based in Toulouse, reports operationally and functionally to the Head of Business Development.

  • Your mission within the organisation consists in supporting the Training Center business line by:

    • Driving new business development initiatives worldwide aiming at the expansion of the Training organisation revenue & profit streams (product and services). This includes identification, assessment and implementation when relevant of partnerships opportunities, acquisitions, new affiliates creations and other types of investments proposed within the Training Center.

    • Driving innovation and investment committee governance to ensure lean and agile investment decision making process aiming at maximizing safety, customer value proposal and competitiveness.

    • Maintaining worldwide market awareness (using inputs from marketing & regional BizDev offices) in order to regularly propose strategic orientations allowing to position Airbus adequately in the relevant ST service/product value chain.

    • Maintaining close coordination with other Airbus divisions in order to maximize business synergies in the Training Service scope.


Your boarding pass:

You are an ambitious self-starter with a proven track record in delivering new concepts or ideas, commercial successes in close partnership with customers.

  • A deep understanding of Training Services, either within or outside Airbus, in flight and/or maintenance training

  • A prior airline experience is highly appreciated

  • Proven experience facing customers, including in difficult situations, ability to adapt, react, but also anticipate.

  • Ability to engage in commercial negotiations and secure contractual commitments in line with the overall programme strategy

  • Good business acumen, ability to take initiatives

  • Ability to structure and model businesses and build financial forecast

  • Ability to conduct Market Analysis

  • Excellent English level required. Any other language is a plus.

  • An understanding of training services contribution to S-wide strategy is a plus

  • Holding a private or professional pilot license, or a maintenance engineer license is a plus

  • Candidate would hold a degree or equivalent in business/commercial, with proven experience in sales and/or business development and/or contract negotiation and/or marketing supporting sales
