We are looking for a Data Governance Managerto structure and scale Salomon's data governance capabilities and make data a true strategic asset for both human and AI-driven decision-making.
In this key leadership role, you will define the governance strategy and operating model, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, contextualized, and AI-ready across all business domains.
You will operate at the intersection of business and technology, embedding governance into every layer of the data ecosystem : from data creation to consumption.
Your Main Missions:
1. Define & lead Data Governance strategy
- Shape and deploy the enterprise data governance framework (policies, standards, processes)
- Define standards, policies, and best practices across all domains
- Align governance with business priorities, data platform evolution, AI / Agentic roadmap
- Extend governance beyond catalog to a "Context Layer" (business definitions, canonical entities, semantic models, governance rules & instructions)
2. Establish data ownership & accountability
- Define Data Domains Mapping closely with Strategy / Group IT, to clarify ownership and ensure tight synergies with business processes
- Set up and scale:
- Data Owners (business)
- IT Owners (technical)
- Data Stewards (operational)
- Ensure governance responsibilities extend to:
- Data usage
- Data quality
- AI consumption
- Ensure accountability and governance adoption at scale
3. Drive data quality & trust
- Define and monitor data quality standards and KPIs
- Implement data quality and observability frameworks (data contracts, data quality monitoring, alerting, ...)
- Partner with IT Owners and Data Stewards to embed data quality into daily operations and continuously elevate standards
- Collaborate with Product & Platform teams to embed governance into data products lifecycle & AI pipeline
- Leverage AI and automation tools to monitor data quality, detect anomalies, and accelerate issue resolution
4. Deploy governance tools & processes
- Lead the implementation of key capabilities such as:
- Data contracts
- Data access management
- Data catalog & lineage
- Data quality & observability
- Ensure tools are adopted and used effectively, not just deployed
- Leverage AI-assisted capabilities to streamline documentation, lineage and data catalog enrichment (metadata generation, descriptions, tagging)
5. Drive Adoption & Data-driven Culture
- Promote a data-driven and AI-ready culture, with strong governance foundations
- Build and animate a Community of Stewards
- Train teams on governance practices
- Act as a change agent, making governance simple, pragmatic, and impactful
- Promote the use of AI tools (e.g., copilots, assistants) to simplify governance workflows and increase adoption across teams

Dans ce rôle clé, vous définirez la stratégie et le modèle opérationnel de gouvernance afin de garantir une donnée fiable, accessible, contextualisée et prête pour les usages BI et IA.
Vos principales missions :
- Définir et déployer le framework global de gouvernance data.
- Aligner la gouvernance avec les priorités business et la roadmap data & IA.
- Structurer les rôles (Data Owners, IT Owners, Data Stewards) et les responsabilités.
- Mettre en place des standards de qualité de données et des KPI associés.
- Déployer les outils de gouvernance (catalogue, lineage, data quality, accès).
- Assurer l'adoption des outils et des pratiques au sein des équipes.
- Promouvoir une culture data-driven et accompagner les équipes.
- Animer une communauté de Data Stewards.
- Simplifier et industrialiser les pratiques de gouvernance grâce à l'IA.
Le profil recherché
Experience
- 8-12+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data & Analytics
- Proven experience deploying governance frameworks at scale
- Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments
- Exposure to AI / ML / GenAI environments
Skills
- Strong understanding of modern data ecosystems (Snowflake / Power BI / dbt)
- Solid knowledge of governance frameworks (ownership, quality, lineage, catalog, semantic layer)
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Structured, pragmatic, and impact-driven mindset
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity and automate workflows

Profil recherché :
- 8 à 12 ans d'expérience en gouvernance data ou data management.
- Expérience confirmée dans le déploiement de frameworks de gouvernance à grande échelle.
- Bonne compréhension des environnements data modernes (Snowflake, Power BI, dbt).
- Maîtrise des concepts de gouvernance (ownership, qualité, lineage, catalogue).
- Capacité à intervenir à la fois sur des sujets stratégiques et opérationnels.
- Excellentes compétences en gestion de parties prenantes.
- Expérience en environnement transverse et international.
- Connaissance des environnements IA/ML appréciée.
