WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
The Business Development Manager will develop and maintain executive high-level relationships with several customers of strategic importance for Automotive, owing to their size, sales & margin potential, global presence and technical leadership. The OEM Business developer is responsible for growth, profitability and customer satisfaction with OEM Automotive accounts, Ford, Chrysler and Tesla, Asian manufacturers like Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Honda and Toyota who influence the suppliers that Bearings Automotive considers core customers.
This position also sets the NA strategy for customer accounts and In particular, the position will coordinate field sales coverage within our regional teams in, Americas and, provide the necessary inputs for sales and operations planning, and contact the relevant team (Capture or Create) in product development, technical services or quality to address key accounts' requests. Briefly generating opportunities in OEMs and Tier1s and build relationships with new customers or departments - cold acquisition
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Bachelor degree in Business or Technical degree required
Masters degree in Business Management preferred
5-10 years business development experience required
with demonstrated record of achieving and exceeding revenue and profit targets
experience with international enterprise selling in complex automotive OEM and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers
experience with complex contract negotiation involving multiple cultures and geographic locations : US, Europe and Asia
Bilingual in Spanish
Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
Strong and reliable professional network within OEMs and the broader automotive industry
Ability to demonstrate business development mindset with a natural ability to network and promote innovation
TO MAKE SURE NOTHING IS FORGOTTEN
Essential functions would include :
Leading complex selling processes that involve buying influences in major Automotive OEM's, developing relationships and building trust with departments responsible for purchasing/strategic sourcing, process engineering/manufacturing. Responsibility includes both Interior,Exterior and all other possible application areas customer accounts in addition to major Auto OEM's.
Coordinate timely responses with all applicable functions within Saint-Gobain. Maintain adequate reporting (sales, margin, project pipeline, Large Volume Opportunities) in connection with business objectives
Organize tech-days, attend shows, introduce new product lines and materials to the potential customers.
Create relations with the OEMs and T1s located in Mexico

BENEFITS IN JOINING US
Certain locations require pay information BE provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
