As APRIL Group accelerates its data transformation and continues to grow its iPMI activities, we are recruiting a Head of Data to structure, lead, and expand high-value business data initiatives.
The primary objective of this role is to identify, scale, and industrialise strategic data use cases that support business steering and decision-making, including commercial and financial performance monitoring, technical indicators, and the management of operational productivity and service quality. The role will also support upcoming strategic transformations, particularly in the field of AI.
This position is part of a federated data organization, where data capabilities are distributed across business teams, IT, and the Group. In this context, the Head of Data will play a key cross-functional coordination role.
The Head of Data will also represent the subsidiary within the Group Data leadership team. In this capacity, they will advocate for the subsidiary's priorities and challenges while ensuring alignment with Group-wide data standards and strategic direction.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Define and Lead APRIL International Data Roadmap
- Define APRIL International data roadmap in line with both business priorities and Group objectives.
- Deliver high-value data use cases, with a strong focus on performance management and decision support.
- Structure governance for key business uses and indicators (business and semantic layers), ensuring data consistency across markets and geographies and enabling consolidation at Group level.
- Manage a dedicated data team (5 FTEs, including data analysts and data scientists).
- Coordinate the wider data community (data analysts, data scientists, data engineers, and business data representatives) to drive convergence and ensure overall consistency of the data roadmap.
- Represent the subsidiary within Group Data governance bodies.
- Reports to: iPMI CIO with a reporting line to the Group Chief Data Officer
- Management scope: 5 direct reports, plus functional leadership of the subsidiary's broader data community
Le profil recherché
- 8 to 12 years of experience in data, BI, or analytics.
- Strong experience leading business-oriented data use cases.
- Proven people management experience in complex environments, including distributed teams.
- Strong expertise in data usage, including KPI definition and specification, data modeling, and analytical techniques.
- Hands-on analytics and data development capabilities
- Deep understanding of business performance management challenges, particularly in brokerage and insurance.
- Solid project management capabilities.
- Good understanding of modern data environments, including BI, data platforms, data products, governance, and data quality.
- Strong influencing leadership and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Results- and execution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in complex, multicultural environments.
- Pragmatic, structured, and focused on outcomes.
