Apprentice Validation Cybersecurity Engineer H/F Valeo

Your Challenges :

As part of our Cybersecurity team, you will play an active role in securing electronic control units (ECUs) and next-generation embedded systems. In an era of increasing connectivity, your role will be to ensure the resilience of our products against cyber threats, while adhering to international automotive industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Design: Assist the team in the planning and design of cybersecurity test cases for ECUs and systems.

• Hands-on Execution: Perform activities such as the execution of test campaigns and vulnerability assessments on embedded systems.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, developers, and validation teams to support the identification and documentation of security risks.

• Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, document findings, and support issue resolution with development teams.

• Compliance & Standards: Learn and contribute to ensuring alignment with automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, Cyber Resilience Act, GB44495, AIS 189...).

• Process Improvement: Support the continuous improvement of cybersecurity validation processes, methodologies, and tools.

• Strategy Contribution: Participate in reviews of cybersecurity requirements and contribute to test strategy definition.

About you...

Education: Currently enrolled in an Engineering School with a specialization in cybersecurity or embedded systems

You have skills in the following areas:

• Proficiency with testing and diagnostic tools for embedded systems (JTAG debuggers, CANoe/CANalyzer).

• Experience with security testing tools (Wireshark, penetration testing toolkits, ...).

• Solid notions of cryptography and security protocols.

• Fundamental knowledge of embedded systems and OBD.

You have excellent analytical skills, a meticulous approach, and a natural ability to communicate in a multicultural environment. Your curiosity and ability to solve complex problems will be your greatest assets. Our work environment is very international, so a good level of English is required.
