LDC deploys its poultry expertise there, along with its commitment to products that are born, raised, prepared, and consumed in the country.

The Group is currently present in several European countries, notably Poland, Hungary, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Romania, where it focuses on two major pillars:

  • Export sales of French, Polish, and Hungarian specialties through wellestablished brands, enabling indepth knowledge of markets and distribution networks.
  • Local anchoring, through industrial operations in countries with strong consumption potential, to develop products tailored to local eating habits.

Structured around commercial and operational teams working close to production sites and consumers, the International Division plays a key role in the Group's growth strategy and contributes to its European reach.

We are recruiting a Head of Sales to accelerate our commercial development in Germany, with responsibility on the Retail channel and direct management for the Hard Discount channel across the country.

In this strategic and high-impact leadership role, you will own key customer relationships, lead high-level commercial negotiations, and drive distribution, profitability, and sustainable growth in the German market. You will play a central role in shaping and executing the German sales strategy, acting as the internal reference for the Hard Discount landscape.

In addition, you will manage two sales offices in Germany, providing leadership, direction, and performance management to the teams. You will also lead and develop our strategic Discount partnerships, ensuring long-term value creation, strong execution, and alignment with the company's commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Commercial Strategy & Market Development

  • Contribute to defining and executing the commercial strategy for Germany.
  • Identify key growth levers and new business opportunities across all the channels in the fresh and frozen Poultry and Ready-Meal products

  • Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for innovation and portfolio development.
  • you will manage two sales offices in Germany

2. Own & Drive the Discount Channel (Germany)

  • Lead the end-to-end development of the German Hard Discount segment.
  • Manage and grow strategic key accounts such as Aldi, Lidl,

  • Build strong, sustainable relationships with buying teams and category managers.
  • Negotiate listings, pricing structures, tenders, annual agreements, and promotional plans.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to expand distribution, optimize assortment, and increase rotation.

3. Key Account Management & Execution Excellence

  • Ensure flawless execution of annual agreements and customer plans.
  • Monitor sales performance KPIs, volumes, margins, and promotional ROI.
  • Take corrective actions to secure sustainable profitability and margin optimization.

4. Leadership & Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop sales team members or commercial resources assigned to Germany.
  • Set clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with business goals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent development through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, R&D, Category Management, and Operations.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, category analyses, and competitive intelligence.
  • Act as the internal expert on the German market.

6. Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage customer P&L, budgets, and promotional investments.
  • Own forecasting accuracy and performance reporting.

Le profil recherché

  • 8-12+ years of experience in Sales within FMCG / Food / Retail.
  • Proven track record with German Hard Discount retailers.
  • Strong experience negotiating with highly demanding customers.
  • Demonstrated success in developing national accounts and driving volume growth.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent negotiator and relationship builder.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Autonomous, resilient, hands-on, and results-oriented.

Languages

  • English: Fluent (mandatory)
  • German: Native or full professional proficiency (mandatory)
  • French: Nice to have

    Education

Master's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
