ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Descartes Underwriting is seeking a Creative Content & Social Media Assistant (Apprentice) to join our Marketing Team. You will report to the Social Media & Content Marketing Manager.

The applicant will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units and play a vital role in the following activities:

Social

• Perform quarterly LinkedIn benchmarks to monitor competition and improve our presence and analytical reports to track performance;

• Prepare visuals and captions for posts;

• Create visual templates to improve efficiency and ensure that our brand guidelines are well followed;

• Support our LinkedIn ambassadors in the creation and execution of various LinkedIn posts.

Content and Design

• Assist in the creation of webpage content as new marketing materials are developed;

• Develop new formats of marketing content that can support our business efforts at conferences, events, and client meetings;

• Create infographics and short motion videos in support of our graphic designer on commercial-led efforts.

Support Growth Marketing initiatives

• Assist in the implementation of Paid media strategy;

• Help maintain marketing data and campaign tracking on our CRM and analytics tools;

• Ad-hoc support for SEO and email marketing activities.

ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Final year student of master's degree from a Journalism, Business or Engineering school with specialized cursus in Marketing, Digital Communications or related;

• A previous experience (internship and/or apprenticeship) in Sales or Marketing is highly valued.

SKILLS

• Proficiency in Pack Office and an appetite for digital tools and platforms;

• Basic level proficiency with Adobe Suite is required;

• Rigor, analytical skills and good writing skills;

• Excellent communication (written and verbal);

• Professional or bilingual English is required;

• French and/or Spanish is a plus.

MINDSET

• Eager to learn more about the insurance industry, and about climate, cyber and emerging risks, you are keen to discover and learn new knowledge and skills including technical and digital ones;

• Your writing, analytical skills, and creative design enables you to make editorial proposals;

• Excellent team player, you have the ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment and to interact with internal and external stakeholders in English.
