The laboratories and operations teams you will interact with are located on the St-Ouen/Clichy campus. Travel to this site several times a month is expected.
As a strategic innovation partner, the Cognitive & Sensory Evaluation team contributes to innovations by focusing on their sensory appeal. The department holistically and objectively characterizes products (texture, appearance, smell, packaging), provides evidence of their performance, describes consumer perceptions, justifies product sensory claims, and produces strategic knowledge.
We collaborate with laboratories, operations, and marketing, helping them make decisions and identify optimization levers for future launches and renovations of skincare, makeup, hygiene, fine fragrance, and haircare products.
Your main responsibilities are:
- You will be autonomously responsible for Skincare sensory studies. You will ensure that the best test design is used to achieve the objectives of laboratories and operations. You will manage the tests with our service providers, process the data, analyze the results, and use this information to produce conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- You will develop in-depth knowledge of Skincare by compiling and transversally analyzing various data collected by your department as well as by other teams (packaging and fragrance evaluation, consumer evaluation), through more advanced statistical analyses.
- You will contribute to the development and deployment of new methods addressing the challenges of the Skincare business, within a context of business transformation.
And transversally for the team:
- You will contribute to more complex cross-functional projects integrating Cognitive Sciences into the objective characterization of the experience to better decode our innovations.
- You will contribute to working groups on cross-functional projects (Digitalization, Data, Quality).
Your assets for success:
- Master's degree, or business school, engineering, or agri-food science diploma specializing in Sensory Studies.
- Successful experience of 2 to 5 years in the field of sensory analysis. You master the different types of sensory tests, panel management, and the analysis of test results (simple and multidimensional analyses).
- You have solid knowledge in data analysis/statistics, are comfortable with numbers, data manipulation (databases), and IT tools.
- You know how to step back, question, and understand strategically important topics to find the right solutions.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills. You know how to build and maintain trusting relationships with your team and partners.
- You are comfortable speaking in public and know how to structure and present your message to maximize your impact.
- Autonomy and rigor, ease in multi-project management.
- You are agile and able to adapt to situations.
- Fluent English.
