Job Description
Step out to the hotel.
Experiences to enjoy in the most beautiful hotels around you: for 24 hours, 48 hours, or just a few hours.
Hotels are often underestimated, even overlooked, by city residents. Yet, under their roofs, you'll find the most stunning spas, some of the finest restaurants, dream-worthy bedding, breathtaking views, and interiors that break from the ordinary.
Staycation was born from this realization, with one goal: to make hotels the new go-to city spots, just like the classic trio of cinema, exhibitions, and restaurants.
Today, Staycation means:
- 3.5 million users (with an average age of 30)
- 2,000+ partner hotels (4-5 stars and luxury destinations)
- Experiences rated an average of 9.3/10 by our users
Joining Staycation means becoming part of a team passionate about reimagining the future of hospitality and urban living.
The Role
As Staycation continues to grow, data has become a central pillar of decision-making across all teams.
We're now looking for a Data Analyst who will ensure that every decision at Staycation is grounded in reliable, well-structured, and actionable data.
You'll play a central role in helping to structure the data team, leading strategic projects, and working closely with business teams to deliver high-impact insights.
You'll report directly to Hélène, our Data Lead, and collaborate daily with stakeholders across product, marketing, sales, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Drive business impact through delivery:
- Lead and deliver end-to-end data projects aligned with team OKRs (Growth, Product, Sales, etc.).
- Perform advanced and complex analysis to support strategic decision-making across the company, including the development of performance dashboards.
Contribute to the evolution of our Modern Data Stack:
- Data modeling: Build and maintain data models in DBT to structure clean, reusable datasets.
- Data quality & alerting: Ensure data is reliable, accurate, and easily accessible across the organization.
- Data governance & privacy: Help implement best practices in data governance.
Collaborate with and support stakeholders:
- Work closely with teams across the company to foster a data-driven culture, through training and support on Metabase and our self-service data models.
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
Key Results
In your first 3 months, you'll be expected to:
- Be fully onboarded to our data stack (DBT, Metabase, Snowflake, Fivetran...).
- Developed a solid understanding of the business model, key metrics, and team workflows.
- Delivered your first impactful analyses and operational dashboards used by business teams.
- Established strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders from at least one key team (e.g. Growth, Product, Sales).
- Contributed to the maintaining or evolving a data model in DBT.
In your first 12 months, you'll be expected to:
- Be recognized as a go-to expert on data for multiple teams, proactively involved in strategic discussions.
- Have led several cross-functional data projects from scoping to delivery, with measurable business impact.
- Significantly contributed to the evolution of our data models and data quality processes.
- Played a key role in structuring the team's methodologies, tooling, or documentation.
- Helped scale the data culture within Staycation (e.g. through SQL trainings, self-service tools).
- Be a driving force behind the continuous improvement of our data governance and reliability practices.
