Senior Analytics Engineer

📍 Location: Puteaux, France (1 day onsite per week)
🏠 Remote: 4 days per week
📅 Long-term contract

Your Mission

You will join an international Data team developing a SaaS platform used by multiple clients.

You will contribute across the entire Analytics lifecycle, from understanding business requirements to designing analytical data models and delivering actionable insights through dashboards.

The Data Warehouse is already well established. Your role will be to enhance it, design new Data Marts to support evolving business needs, and help Product and Business teams maximize the value of their data.

Your Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate them into robust data solutions.

• Analyze the application's data model and business processes to identify meaningful KPIs.

• Design and enhance Data Marts to support new business use cases.

• Develop dimensional data models (Star Schema, Fact & Dimension Modeling) and build scalable analytical models.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and data transformation logic.

• Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL Server databases, APIs, and event-driven data streams.

• Design and develop dashboards that address client needs, in close collaboration with Product and Business teams.

• Define KPIs, design semantic layers, and translate business requirements into meaningful analytics and reporting.

• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and developers within an Agile environment.

• Take ownership of assigned topics and quickly become autonomous.

Technical Environment

Required

• SQL Server

• Strong SQL skills

• Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or another BI reporting tool

• Data Warehouse

• Data Modeling (Star Schema, Fact & Dimension Modeling)

• Data Mart design

• ETL / Data Transformation

• Data Integration (SQL, APIs, Event Streams)

• Dashboarding & Data Visualization

• Experience working in Agile environments

Nice to Have

• SSIS

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence.

• Strong expertise in SQL Server and advanced SQL development.

• Proven experience designing Data Warehouses and Data Marts.

• Strong experience in dimensional data modeling, including Star Schema, Fact & Dimension Modeling.

• Experience designing dashboards and delivering business insights through BI tools.

• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

• Comfortable working in a client-facing, product-oriented SaaS environment.

• Autonomous, analytical, and proactive, with strong communication skills.

• Professional English, with the ability to collaborate effectively within an international team (most day-to-day communication is in English).
