The objective of this research project is the development of mathematical models and asociated numerical methods for the simulation of the hemodynamics in the cavities of the heart. The main motivation of this work is driven by the developement of a simulation tool to simulate patohological scenarios, such as the Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), and numerically asses different surgicals options. This work will be performed in the framework of theproject, which involves a collaboration with Necker Hospital, Dassault Systèmes and SIMBIOTX project-team.
Principales activités
The proposed post-doctoral project addresses this problem via multi-physics models that coupled myocardium electromechanics and blood flow. The external circulation will be modeled via a closed-loop lumped parameter models.

Compétences
Candidates must hold a doctorate in applied mathematics, an have interest in biomedical applications and some experience in the following fields: mathematical modeling, discretization of PDEs, finite element methods, fluid-structure interaction, blood flows simualtions.
Technical Skills: C/C++ programming skills required.
