Position : Data Analyst Intern



Organization

Context




  • Support the development of impactful Data & AI Use Cases.

  • The role involves working within our Data ecosystem to deliver value-driven solutions as part of our digital transformation efforts.



Purpose




  • The purpose of this internship is to deploy data exploration frameworks and support stakeholders in establishing and maintaining high data quality standards, contributing to better decision-making and data governance across the organization.



Areas of responsibility




  • Deploy and configure data exploration frameworks to enable self-service analytics across business units.

  • Support stakeholders in establishing data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring processes.

  • Conduct data profiling and quality assessments to identify and resolve data issues.

  • Collaborate with business teams to understand their analytical needs and translate them into actionable insights.

  • Create dashboards and reports to monitor data quality metrics and exploration activities.

  • Document data quality processes, best practices, and framework usage guidelines for knowledge sharing.

  • Participate in data governance initiatives and contribute to the development of data quality policies.

  • Successful deployment of at least one data exploration framework accessible to business stakeholders.

  • Definition and implementation of data quality metrics and monitoring dashboards for key datasets.

  • Measurable improvement in data quality scores across critical business processes.

Required skills and qualifications




  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and quality validation.

    • Advanced skills in data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik) to create dashboards and reports.

    • Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis, including pivot tables, formulas, and data validation.

    • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis, quality checks, and basic automation (pandas, numpy, matplotlib).

    • Understanding of data quality principles, including data profiling, cleansing, validation, and monitoring techniques.

    • Experience with or willingness to learn data quality tools and frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Talend Data Quality, Azure Purview, or similar).

    • Exposure to Cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for accessing and analyzing data.

    • Knowledge of data exploration tools (e.g., Jupyter notebooks, Azure Data Explorer, or s



  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data quality issues and derive actionable insights from complex datasets.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify data quality challenges and propose practical solutions aligned with business needs.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and document processes.

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work closely with business users to understand their needs and support them in data quality initiatives.
