Networking QA Engineer Remote - Based In Spain H/F HOUSE OF ABY

💻 Your day-to-day responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution

• Design and execute functional, regression, performance, and stress test plans.
• Validate L2/L3 and transportlayer features and protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, DHCP, DNS, QoS, multicast, etc.).
• Run endtoend scenarios across real and virtual topologies.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document networking issues.
• Test highavailability and failover mechanisms.

Automation & Tooling

• Develop and maintain automated tests (Python preferred).
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Use professional networking tools (Ixia, Spirent, Ostinato) and traffic analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
• Automate protocol validation, traffic generation, and performance analysis.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

• Work closely with international development, architecture, and product teams.
• Participate in feature reviews and define testing requirements.
• Support debugging, defect resolution, and rootcause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA methodologies and internal workflows.

Documentation

• Document test plans, results, automation scripts, and procedures.
• Produce clear, actionable defect reports.
• Contribute to internal test documentation and knowledge sharing.
