Data Science Intern F - M - X H/F Dynatrace

Your role at Dynatrace

We are looking for a Machine Learning Feature Engineering Intern to support the development of a churn prediction model. In this role, you will work closely with the data science team to explore and extract insights from large internal databases, transforming raw operational data into high-quality features for machine learning.
Your primary focus will be screening and querying multiple internal data sources (relational databases, and historical user data) to identify meaningful signals that can improve predictive performance. This internship is well-suited for candidates with strong Python and SQL skills who want hands-on experience in applied machine learning and feature engineering at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Explore and analyze internal databases to identify candidate features relevant to churn, guided by business expertise
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, maintaining clean and reusable code in an existing codebase
• Collaborate with data scientists to improve machine learning model in Python
• Document assumptions, transformations, and feature definitions for reproducibility. Package features into a repeatable pipeline

What will help you succeed

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or a related field

- Interest in a career in Data Science, Software Engineering, or Technology

- Basic SQL skills,Python, relational databases basics, machine learning basics, Snowflake framework is a plus.

- Understanding of primitive and basic abstract data structures

- Exposure to data pipelines and how data flows between systems

- Excellent written and spoken french skills

- Growing ability to prioritize work with mentor support

- Willingness to follow coding and documentation standards

- Adaptability to team processes, tools, and workflows

Compensation and Rewards

We offer a yearly gross salary of €30 400for University students.
