Acusurgical is a fast-growing start-up in surgical robotics with a mission to help surgeons better treat patients and improve the lives of a large number of people affected by debilitating disease. We are looking for a highly motivated person, who shares our values.


The Mechanical and Hardware engineer develops and improves a robotic platform and its instruments intended for innovative surgeries. The development of the mechanical and hardware parts are crucial to guarantee the safety of the patient. During the different stages of the project, the Mechanical and Hardware engineer will work in close collaboration with System engineer, Software engineer, Quality and Manufacturing engineers.


Your missions :

  • As a member of the Cataract team, the missions are :
  • Define requirements for mechanical components based on clinical needs.
  • Identify and analyse technical solutions, develop and validate mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Design and fine-tune mechanical components, hardware, and instruments.
  • Produce drawings and associated parts lists.
  • Follow-up various suppliers.
  • Participate in verification activities (Protocols, Tests, and Reports).
  • Participate in risk management activities, identify Failure modes of critical components.
  • Ensure product quality and safety for IEC 60601 certification.
  • Ensure quality and compliance of his deliverables.
  • Participate in product industrialization and transfer to production.
  • Support the Regulatory department for regulatory files
  • Support the Quality department for investigating and addressing Quality issues.



Le profil recherché

Your profile :

  • Training: Engineering/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, CAD and drawing, ideally in Medical device industry. Good knowledge with 3D printing, machining, sheet metal, and plastics processes.
  • Organized, rigorous, and autonomous.
  • Good analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French and the ability to communicate with international actors
  • Enthusiasm and a strong desire to enhance surgical technology to improve the life of patients
  • A proactive personality with the ability to integrate with the existing start-up team. Ability to listen and be a team player.
  • Able to learn and adapt quickly to a rapidly evolving work environment
