Product Owner - Industrial Networking H/F HOUSE OF ABY

Our main goal is to meet the needs of our clients across different sectors and key locations in the local market by supporting them with their projects and challenges through the expertise of our teams.

We are developing a white-label industrial networking product for a demanding client. This solution will include advanced features such as industrial Ethernet switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and edge devices. The product must meet strict requirements for robustness, redundancy, cybersecurity, and compliance with industrial standards.

You will act as the key interface between the final client and internal R&D teams (hardware, embedded software, mechanical design, telecom), ensuring successful delivery in an international environment.

¿What would you be doing in your day a day ?

1. Product Ownership in an OpenInnovation Ecosystem

- Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and functional priorities.
- Translate needs into clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure overall product consistency (technical, functional, performance, cybersecurity).

2. Strategic Partner & Supplier Management

- Act as the main interface with external technology partners, including switch manufacturers, chipset vendors, RF solution providers, and cybersecurity technology suppliers.
- Manage the operational and contractual framework of the partnerships, including:
- MSA (Master Service Agreement)
- SOW (Statement of Work)
- Time & Materials engagements
- Turnkey / Fixedprice codevelopment projects
- Monitor deliverables, technical milestones, and quality commitments from partners.
- Lead coinnovation workshops, technical reviews, and architecture discussions.

3. Technical Oversight - Industrial Networking Expertise

- Oversee design and development activities related to:
- Industrial switching (VLAN, QoS, IGMP, L2/L3, redundancy, TSN)
- Wireless technologies (WiFi, roaming, industrial RF constraints)
- Embedded cybersecurity (secure boot, ACL, 802.1X, segmentation, firewalling)
- Participate in architectural choices and validate major technical decisions.
- Support compliance initiatives with industrial standards (IEC 62443, IEEE standards, EN norms, etc.).

4. Project Coordination

- Collaborate daily with hardware, embedded software, mechanical, RF, and systems engineering teams.
- Manage timelines, risks, budget, and dependencies across multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure clear reporting and communication to leadership and customers (English is used daily).

¿What would you be doing in your day a day ?

- Cross-functional leadership
- Coordinate hardware, firmware, mechanical, software, and telecom teams to ensure quality, deadlines, and budget compliance.
- Client interface & requirement management
- Translate customer needs into technical specifications, prioritize features, and lead technical workshops and steering committees.
- Product development oversight
- Supervise design and development of industrial networking equipment (Ethernet switches, routers, wireless modules, security features), including prototyping, validation, and industrialization.
- Reporting & communication
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships. Communication will be in English daily.

- Remote position (80-90%) with flexible hours & occasionally travel within Europe (1 every 2 months approx.)
