Having conquered the French market with over 4.5 million users, €1bn in GMV, and 6,000 partners, Joko has crafted the ultimate shopping app designed to empower consumers to shop smarter, with features like Buy Now Pay Later, cash back, coupons, price comparison, and wish lists. Now with Joko AI, our ultimate AI shopping assistant, consumers can find the best products and buy them at the best price. The ambition is to put Joko in the hands of billions of users globally, starting with the US.
As we embark on this global expansion, two of our co-founders have just moved to the US. Along with you and the pioneering team, they will lay the groundwork for future US success. We aim to dominate the US market and secure the top position. Joining us at this early stage is as thrilling as kickstarting a new venture, but with the advantage of leveraging the established infrastructure, with a strong product and profitable model we've built in France.
Our People Team
The People Team at Joko is building the foundation for how we grow, hire, and support our teammates. We're not just about HR - we're shaping the culture, processes, and tools that make Joko a place people love to work.
You'll join the Talent squad, led by Miya, focused on attracting top candidates, running fair and efficient hiring processes, and giving candidates a great experience. We work closely with all teams across Joko, and we never settle for the status quo - we iterate fast and improve every week.
What You Will Do
As a People & Talent Intern, your mission is to help us hire smarter and faster - and to make every candidate interaction feel human. You'll work on real hiring challenges, help run a smooth recruiting engine, and support team-wide improvements.
Your responsibilities :
Hiring Support
- Post job descriptions and source candidate profiles across multiple platforms
- Review applications, help screen profiles, and prep candidate materials
- Support recruiters with scheduling, coordination, and feedback follow-up
Candidate Experience
- BE a key point of contact for candidates - organize a smooth and thoughtful process
- Ensure communications are timely, clear, and aligned with Joko's tone
Hiring Operations
- Keep our ATS (Ashby) clean and up-to-date with accurate data
- Track simple recruiting metrics in Notion or spreadsheets
- Help document and improve our hiring workflows
- Identify pain points in the process and propose small fixes
Team Collaboration
- Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers to keep things moving
- Support employer branding initiatives (e.g. LinkedIn, events, job board hygiene)
Who We're Looking For
- Education : You are currently in a business, HR, or social sciences program. End-of-studies or gap-year internships only.
- Languages : Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
- Mindset : You're structured, curious, and love making things more efficient. You're not afraid to ask questions.
- Communication : Clear, warm, and concise. You keep others in the loop.
- Tools : You know your way around Excel or Notion, and can pick up new tools fast (bonus if you've used an ATS like Ashby).
- Location : This role is based in Paris.

Our hiring process
- Intro Call : Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or a recruiter.
- Step 1 - Team Interview (45 min) : Discussion with two future teammates.
- Step 2 - Case Study & Debrief (45 min) : You'll work on a take-home assignment relevant to the role (e.g. coding, analysis, strategy, or process design), then present IT in a live debrief. We assess both your output and how you think in real time.
- Step 3 - Founders Interview (45 min) : Conversation with two of our founders.
- References : Up to five calls with former colleagues or managers.
You may also BE invited for coffee or drinks with team members to get a feel for our culture.
