The Port Operations Officer plays a critical role in the efficient customs clearance of vessels, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines to avoid any potential penalties. This position is instrumental in maintaining operational flow and upholding the highest standards of service in port operations.

Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and execute the customs clearance process for ships using the current electronic application, ensuring all actions are completed within the established deadlines.
- Make necessary corrections to manifests and verify the accuracy of information provided to clients.
- Calculate port fees and customs handling charges to maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact for the "Prise en charge" office of customs revenue, addressing standard inquiries effectively.
- Create voyages within the dedicated electronic system, monitor manifest discharges, and finalize port calls by submitting the DESMAD.
- Amend manifests in the system and process traditional export declarations as required.
- Generate operational reports related to the vessels handled using the operational management system (PCR).
- Ensure timeliness and procedural compliance in all operations to mitigate the risk of customs penalties.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by optimising quay operations and promoting adherence to operational procedures.

Required Knowledge and Experience :
- Educational background of Bac +2 to Bac +3 in logistics, maritime transport, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in a similar role or function.
- Proficiency in computer systems and office tools is essential for performing daily tasks effectively.
- Operational proficiency in English is required to facilitate communication with international stakeholders.
