Role Summary and Impact
As a Senior Lawyer specializing in Intellectual Property, Content, and Media at WPP Media, you will play a crucial role in supporting our creative and media operations across multiple agencies. Working in an international environment and reporting to the Legal Director, you will provide expert legal guidance on complex intellectual property matters, media regulations, and content rights while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver innovative and compliant solutions for our clients across both creative and media disciplines.
Skills and Experience
- Master's degree (Master 2) in Intellectual Property Law / Media Law
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience, preferably within a creative advertising or media agency environment
- Expert knowledge in drafting and negotiating contracts in English and French for influencers, models, image rights, intellectual property licenses/assignments, partnerships, and content rights
- Strong understanding of media regulations, particularly relating to advertising and consumer law, including ARPP guidelines (Loi Evin, health warnings, minors, Loi Influence, etc.)
- Experience with media buying service contracts in France (Sapin Law) and internationally
- Proficiency in data privacy regulations and ability to provide guidance on compliance matters
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical and writing skills with strong attention to detail
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced international environment
Salary : €60-70K gross, depending on experience.
