About the Role
Ogury is seeking a Senior Data Scientist II to take a key hands-on technical leadership role. This role will BE pivotal in shaping the future of data science at Ogury by standardising our data science pipelines and fostering collaboration between the Data Engineering and Data Science teams. You will lead efforts to adopt and advocate for open-source technologies, creating more standardised, scalable, and efficient pipelines while helping our data scientists grow their technical skills and work toward cutting-edge solutions in machine learning.

What you will BE doing
- Lead and mentor data scientists in adopting open-source machine learning tools and technologies, including model versioning, A/B testing, and CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models.
- Collaborate with the VP and other stakeholders to design and implement standardised ML and data science pipelines that support Ogury's product goals.
- Act as a bridge between the Data Engineering and Data Science teams, ensuring smooth cooperation, consistency in methodologies, and streamlined workflow across both teams.
- Enhance delivery optimization techniques and data science solutions by leveraging best practices in the industry and the open-source community.
- Support the rotation of team members across different projects every quarter, ensuring a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment.
- Work closely with the VP to develop and implement a long-term roadmap and technical framework that will shape Ogury's data science strategy.
- Push the boundaries of Ogury's data capabilities by exploring and implementing emerging technologies and methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
About you
- Proven experience in hands-on data science roles with extensive exposure to machine learning, model versioning, AB testing, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) of ML models in production environments.
- Passion for using and contributing to open-source tools and technologies that drive innovation in data science and ML pipelines.
- Experience in mentoring and leading data scientists, particularly in growing technical skills, enhancing model deployment processes, and driving project success.
- Ability to act as a bridge between data science and engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment and standardising processes.
- Capable of developing and executing a long-term strategy for standardizing data pipelines and leveraging best practices in the industry.
- Easy-going, friendly, and approachable while maintaining a strong technical leadership presence.
- Extensive experience in industries related to machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and survey/personalization technologies is a plus.
- Ability to manage a dynamic project environment, including rotating team members and shifting priorities.
- Experience within AdTech/MarTech
