Role Overview

As an apprentice, you will develop a migration prototype for Master Pricer from SSP to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and evaluate the potentiality to migrate the application code from C to Rust. The project will leverage machine learning techniques to reduce the migration effort and ensure added value of Rust for SSP

Key Responsibilities
- Google Cloud Migration :

- Assess the current SSP infrastructure and identify components to BE migrated to GCP.
- Evaluate the migration of MasterPrice to GCP based on the existing Google Hackathon.
- Application Code Migration :

- Analyze the existing C codebase of Master Pricer and identify modules for migration to Rust.
- Develop a machine learning model to assist in the code migration process, reducing manual effort and ensuring code quality.
- Prototype some MasterPrice modules migration from C to Rust
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of the migrated code to ensure functionality and performance.

Your Profile
- Background in cloud computing, particularly with Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with programming languages such as C and Rust.
- Interest and if possible Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in software development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with migration tools and best practices for cloud and code migration.
