The Position
Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Job Purpose
- Develop and drive the infrastructure architecture in their SME domain (Backup and Storage)
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point into backup and storage solutions
- Drive or get involved with infrastructure projects (other than SME domain) as and when needed
- Design global solutions that can BE delivered at a regional level
- Manage transition from conception to design to initial implementation phase of a technical solution

Responsibilities

Technical Design and Operational Tasks
- Design infrastructure solutions that are secure, scalable, and highly available for both on-prem and cloud solutions
- Work collaboratively with the different IT teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point to other Infrastructure teams
- Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of infrastructure and systems
- Assist in the infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
- Analyzes the current infra architecture setup to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements

Standards, Policies and Procedures
- Develops, communicates and supports technical policies, standards, guidelines and procedures related to infrastructure technical domain.
- Designs standard configurations and patterns.

Project Delivery
- Organize and manage technical solutions from conception to initial implementation to production
- Works closely with project management team to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered
- Assures on application or infrastructure projects to fit infrastructure to the technical architecture requirements
- Identifies when IT is necessary to modify the technical/solution architecture to accommodate project needs.
- Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities

Qualifications & Experience

Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Fluent or native English speaker
- At least 3 years of deploying and managing Veeam Enterprise Backup and Recovery software
- At least 3 years knowledge of and experience with infrastructure architecture and design
- Experience with the deployment of large infrastructure projects across multiple geographies

Desirable
- At least 3 years of deploying and managing Rubrik Backup and Recovery software
- Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
- Conversant in French or another European language would BE advantageous
