About the role
Pharmaceutical supply chains are being reinvented. Pressure on product availability, resilience, service and working capital - together with the rapid rise of AI, automation and digital - is pushing supply chain leaders to rethink how planning, customer operations, logistics and distribution are run.
We are seeking a senior pharmaceutical supply chain leader who can engage credibly with client executives, shape strategic transformation agendas, and bring a compelling vision for the future of pharmaceutical supply chains. You will help clients define and accelerate the next generation of planning, customer operations, logistics and distribution capabilities - leveraging data, AI, automation and digital to create more resilient, agile and patient-centric supply chains.
This is primarily a strategic advisory, opportunity-shaping and executive engagement role rather than a day-to-day delivery management position. You will combine deep industry experience with strong advisory and business-development skills, translating supply chain challenges into transformative initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
What you'll do
Advise at the top table. Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, bringing external perspectives on emerging trends, leading practices and innovation. Build strong relationships across supply chain, manufacturing, quality, digital and business functions, and facilitate executive decision-making on future operating models and transformation priorities.
Reinvent the supply chain. Shape end-to-end transformation agendas spanning integrated business planning, demand and supply planning, customer service, logistics, distribution and network performance. Help define future-state supply chains that improve availability, resilience, responsiveness, inventory and working capital - and advise the shift from functional operations to connected, intelligent, value-stream-oriented operating models.
Harness AI, data and digital. Bring practical insight on AI-enabled planning, intelligent decision support, supply chain visibility, control towers, digital twins, automation and advanced analytics. Guide executive conversations on the data, technology and digital foundations needed to enable large-scale transformation, while staying anchored in business outcomes.
Originate and shape. Identify, originate and shape strategic transformation opportunities aligned to client priorities. Translate complex challenges into compelling value cases, transformation roadmaps and investment propositions, and lead diagnostics and working sessions that align stakeholders around a clear vision and prioritised actions.
Lead transformation. Provide senior-level sponsorship and subject-matter leadership as initiatives move from vision and design into mobilisation and execution. Orchestrate multidisciplinary teams across business, operations, technology and ecosystem partners to deliver integrated client outcomes.
Drive sustainable value. Define benefits-realisation approaches and transformation metrics so value is delivered and sustained, and help clients balance service, resilience, cost and environmental objectives.
Le profil recherché
Essential
Significant experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical supply chains
, gained through industry, consulting, or a combination of both.
Deep expertise across
end-to-end supply chain management
, with particular strength in several of: integrated business planning (IBP), demand and supply planning, customer service, logistics and distribution, inventory optimisation, supply chain resilience, and operating model design.
A strong track record
advising and influencing senior executives
, shaping strategic propositions, and converting executive dialogue into transformational programs.
Credible fluency in how
digital, data and AI
are transforming pharma supply chains - intelligent planning, decision intelligence, digital twins, visibility solutions, automation and advanced analytics.
Proven experience
designing and mobilising complex transformations
involving process, organisation, data and technology change.
Strong
facilitation, stakeholder management and executive communication
capabilities.
Based in or able to operate across
Europe
, supporting a global stakeholder network.
Preferred
Experience leading
operating model and organisational transformation
, including the workforce implications of digital and AI-enabled supply chains (capability building, role evolution, adoption).
Ability to engage credibly on
planning platforms, ERP ecosystems, cloud, data products and digital supply chain architectures
, while remaining focused on outcomes.
Depth in
sustainable supply chain strategy
, balancing service, resilience, cost and environmental goals.
An established network across European pharma and biopharma supply chain leadership.
Significant pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical supply chain experience at a level consistent with an Associate Director appointment.
