Junior Automation Engineer - Dutch Bilingual M - F H/F fortil group

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As we continue to grow our activities, we are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer with an interest in IT and software. You will work on automation projects involving medium and high voltage systems.

As part of a project team, you will contribute to responsibilities such as:

• Supporting the design, development, and implementation of automation systems

• Learning and working with SICAM A8000 and communication protocols, including IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104

• Contributing to time-stamping applications for medium- and high-voltage systems

• Helping analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Participating in system testing, troubleshooting, and validation

• Contributing to commissioning activities and providing support during project deployment

• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications and test reports

• Working with project, engineering, and client teams, presenting information to groups when needed

• Following applicable safety, quality, and project procedures

This is a junior-level opportunity. A willingness and ability to learn communication protocols are key; prior experience with the specific technologies is not required.

YOUR PROFILE

You have a degree or technical qualification in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, IT, software, or a related field. Internships, academic projects, or initial professional experience in automation or software are valued.

You are fluent in Dutch; basic knowledge of French is a plus.

You are curious, organized, and eager to learn. You enjoy solving technical problems, working collaboratively, and presenting ideas clearly to a group.

You take initiative, follow through on your commitments, and are open to feedback as you develop your capabilities. You are motivated to build your technical skills and contribute to high-quality project outcomes.
