Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager - Digital Transformation
Location: Maizières, France (Metz area)
Work Model: Hybrid, with regular onsite presence

Context
The Digital Transformation department supports international R&D centers. It delivers digitalization of processes, internal applications, workflow automation, collaboration, knowledge management, and selected Data/AI projects. The technical team already includes Azure architects, developers, and ServiceNow experts.
The role requires an operational Project Manager who can take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and ensure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Project & Portfolio Management
Manage approximately 5-6 projects simultaneously.
Organize and prioritize projects of different sizes and durations.
Consolidate schedules, risks, budgets, and dependencies.
Provide overall visibility on portfolio progress.
Business Analysis & Business Coordination
Gather and analyze user requirements.
Challenge business requests and propose suitable solutions.
Write or coordinate functional specifications.
Translate requirements into user stories and backlog items.
Project Management & Delivery
Organize sprints and track development.
Coordinate architects, developers, and technical experts.
Drive MVPs and iterative deliveries.
Monitor testing, deployment, and go-live.
Support continuous improvement.
Governance & Reporting
Track timelines, costs, risks, and resources.
Anticipate blockers and manage dependencies.
Provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
Maintain pragmatic governance adapted to short projects.
Technology Environment
Microsoft Azure - good understanding of the Cloud environment
Azure Architecture - ability to collaborate with architects
Microsoft 365 / SharePoint - understanding of collaborative solutions
Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate, workflows
ServiceNow App Engine - appreciated for internal applications
Azure AI Foundry - asset for generative AI projects
Microsoft Copilot / AI Agents - knowledge or experience appreciated
Agile / Scrum - mastery of iterative delivery
DevOps / CI/CD - understanding of development and deployment cycles
The consultant does not need to be a developer or Azure architect, but must have sufficient technical understanding to work effectively with these profiles.

Ideal Profile
Solid experience in IT project management, particularly in business application development and digital transformation.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Experience working directly with business users.
Experience coordinating international technical teams.
Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or ServiceNow experience is a strong advantage.
GenAI, Copilot, or AI Agents experience is a differentiator, but does not replace solid operational Project Management experience.
Role Clarification
This is not a purely strategic PMO role, not only a Scrum Master role, and not a Cloud architect role.
The role requires someone who can:
Take ownership of multiple business requests and turn them into concrete projects.
Directly drive deliveries with technical teams.
Manage several small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
Adapt methodology to project size without adding administrative overhead.
Understand Microsoft technologies and new AI use cases.
Work autonomously in an international environment.
In summary: a hands-on Senior IT Project Manager focused on business applications, Agile delivery, multi-project management, and Business-IT coordination, with a good understanding of Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem.
