In 2025, AXA Health International (AHI) was created as a new entity of the AXA Group, gathering existing activities performed by AXA France and AXA UK, in order to centralise expertise and risk management. AHI manages International Health insurance (also called IPMI) and MAXIS activities, with €1.8bn GWP in 2026 It offers Health (76%) and Protection (24%) covers, in reinsurance (71%) and direct insurance (29%). It targets different client segments: individuals, small/medium/large corporates, multinationals, ceding companies, IGOs/NGOs and Embassies, typically distributed by direct channel or intermediated by external brokers.
AHI is a global business, supported by 2 risk carriers (AXA Health Insurance and AXA Health Re) based in France and with a branch in the UK, and by several internal global Master General Agents [MGAs]: AXA Health Solutions (France & Spain), AXA Global HealthCare (UK), AXA Life & Health Reinsurance Solutions (Singapore) and other entities in Irland and HK, as well as MAXIS GBN (a joint venture with MetLife focusing on global EB programs for multinationals, based in the UK).
This role is responsible for leading procurement activities, managing strategic supplier relationships, and providing expert guidance to stakeholder group to ensure effective, compliant, and value-for-money delivery of goods, services, and works. The role supports the Finance team with accountability to the Head of Controlling in executing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance across all procurement activities and in delivering strategic efficiency initiatives.
The role holder is responsible for providing procurement coverage for the full AHI scope, including the UK, France, Singapore, Ireland, Hong Kong, and any other markets in which AHI may conduct business.
Key Accountabilities:- The Procurement Lead is accountable for driving the procurement function within AHI, including deploying procurement standards, policies and best practice, and delivering cost savings- Lead market analysis through tender specifications, RFP/RFIs, developing procurement advisory papers and reports for approval by the Head of Controlling in delivering new service providers.- Lead commercial and contract negotiations and documentation drafting for new engagements, renewals, and work orders etc - Lead the due diligence process, ensuring robust documentation and evidence for all new engagements- Retendering of all term contracts adopting strict procurement procedures and company policy to ensure compliance with procurement legislation, procedures and practices including direct interaction with company legal counsel. - Performing regular monitoring for existing relationships and partnerships, to ensure adherence to agreements and reviewing financial performance, raising any concerns with the Head of Finance- Lead Third Party Risk Management, to improve the control environment for third parties, adhering to regulatory requirements
