Document Controller / Document Management
Position Overview
As part of the activities related to the ITER Project, we are looking for a Document Controller / Document Management Specialist responsible for the overall management of the project's technical documentation.
You will be responsible for ensuring the compliance, traceability, monitoring and archiving of documents throughout their entire lifecycle, in accordance with quality procedures and client requirements.

- Location: ITER Site, Cadarache (PACA - France)
- Environment: Complex international industrial project
Main Responsibilities
1. Document Control and Management
- Manage the Document Control process within engineering projects.
- Verify the compliance, quality and integrity of technical documents prior to distribution.
- Ensure the registration, transmission, tracking and archiving of documents.
- Manage document versions and revisions.
- Ensure document traceability and compliance with quality procedures.
- Monitor document status throughout each stage of the document lifecycle, including creation, review, validation, approval, distribution and archiving.
2. Document Management Systems Administration
- Upload, update and maintain documents on the client's document management platforms and internal systems.
- Maintain document registers, tracking logs and databases.
- Monitor approval statuses and validation workflows.
- Ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of document-related data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of DCC (Document Control Center) procedures and processes.
- Ensure compliance with document naming, classification, indexing and revision management rules.
3. Reporting and Coordination
- Prepare document control dashboards and performance indicators.
- Produce weekly reports on document control progress and activities.
- Identify and monitor potential delays, bottlenecks and document-related issues.
- Coordinate document exchanges between project teams, the client and consortium partners.
- Act as the document management interface between headquarters, project teams and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate the efficient flow of document-related information within a complex, international and multi-stakeholder environment.
4. Records and Archive Management
- Organize and manage both physical and electronic document archives.
- Ensure the preservation, integrity and security of technical records.
- Ensure compliance with project and client requirements regarding document archiving and records retention.
- Maintain full traceability of archived documents and ensure their availability when required.
- Contribute to the management of records and documents with contractual or regulatory value.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor's to Master's Degree (Bac +3 to Bac +5) in one of the following fields:
- Engineering;
- Quality Management;
- Technical Documentation;
- Project Management;
- or an equivalent field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of significant experience in Document Control / Document Management.
- Experience ideally gained in an industrial, engineering or large-scale project environment.
- Previous experience on the ITER site would be a major advantage.
Essential Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of the technical document lifecycle, including creation, review, validation, approval, distribution, version control and archiving.
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience in producing document control reports and performance tracking.
- Proficiency with DCC, PLM or Project EDMS tools.
- Good understanding of document control processes within engineering projects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the nuclear, energy or infrastructure sectors, or within large-scale international projects.
- Familiarity with ITER-specific document management environments, processes and requirements.
- Experience working in a multicultural and multi-company environment.

- French: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Fluency in all three languages is essential to ensure effective communication with the various stakeholders involved in the project.
