Les missions du poste
Are you passionate about AI, automation, and digital transformation and interested in applying technology to real industrial challenges? We are looking for a Digital Documentation & AI Automation Engineer to join an exciting offshore wind energy project and transform the way technical documentation is created, managed, and accessed.
In this role, you will design and deploy digital tools, automation, and AI solutions that help engineering and field teams find the right information faster and improve documentation workflows. You will combine hands-on development with a strong understanding of business needs, working closely with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Documentation, and IT teams.
💻 Your day-to-day
- Analyse documentation and engineering processes to identify automation and AI opportunities, prioritising solutions according to business value and feasibility.
- Define and contribute to the roadmap for digital documentation and continuous process improvement.
- Design and build AI-based solutions for content retrieval, semantic search, summarisation, reporting, and automated quality checks.
- Develop solutions using technologies such as Python, language models, RAG, embeddings, and semantic search.
- Integrate digital tools with enterprise systems such as PLM, EDMS, digital forms, and field service platforms, ensuring data consistency and traceability.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows for document creation, review, approval, distribution, and revision notifications.
- Transform technical documentation, including procedures, RAMS, and lifting plans, into digital checklists and forms with appropriate version control.
- Test and validate AI-generated outputs, ensuring accuracy, reliability, traceable sources, and human validation for critical information.
- Collaborate with IT and digital teams on architecture, security, deployment, and maintenance of the solutions.
- Support adoption by training field technicians and internal users and continuously improving tools based on their feedback.

Le profil recherché
✨ What do we need from you?
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience developing and deploying digital tools for industrial or technical documentation, automation, or similar engineering processes.
- Strong Python skills and hands-on experience building applications, scripts, and integrations.
- Practical experience with AI and NLP technologies, including language models, RAG, embeddings, and semantic search.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, and system integrations.
- Ability to understand business needs, identify opportunities for automation, and proactively propose technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with IT teams, engineers, safety specialists, and field users.
- Autonomy and the ability to take solutions from prototype to production and user adoption.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with PLM, EDMS, content management systems, workflow automation, or low-code platforms would be a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment, data governance, and information security in industrial environments would also be valued.
- Previous experience in wind energy or another complex and regulated industry would be advantageous.
