This is an exciting role with accountability and impact across all operational functions. It requires a personality that can influence and collaborate with the Steering Committee members; someone who can interpret and interrogate data, turn into tangible actions, and align the team through setting the scene to deliver a world class quality proposition whilst developing strong relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the First Article Inspection including controlling all incoming inspection, warehouse picking inspection, assembly line self-inspection, and adjustment and testing routines. Strong management of cross-functional activities to the Group guidelines.
  • Supplier Quality Management whilst leading formal and informal audits of suppliers, perform supplier evaluation, and follow up improvement projects with the Supply Chain Department.
  • Management of the Quality Management System and all associated Controlled Documents, Processes, and corrective-preventative actions. The QAM also facilitates the process for ISO9001 certification and internal/ external audits whilst engaging the Steering Committee on all aspects of ISO9001.
  • A true Quality Advocate who demonstrates a hands-on attitude and can implement change across a multitude of functions, influencing with authority, whilst aligning all departments with the shared commitment. At TLD, we stand behind our customers, products and services: responsibility, support, support and continuous improvement and the key words which drive and work and attitude.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The QAM establishes and enforces all required processes to improve our product and support from a quality, reliability, and continuous improvement point of view.
  • CAPEX submission for quality tooling, etc. The QAM also is tasked with developing the department's annual budget.
  • Lead formal and informal audits of all materials, processes, products and systems as needed.
  • Ensuring the quality proposition is known, clear and communicable with all resources aligned to the current market perspective. The QAM is a key role that, with the COO, supports and drives the direction of the business and product's quality.
