Context
Within the Internal Control team of Supply & Energy Management, you will contribute to the monitoring and enhancement of the overall S&EM Control Framework for the Energy Management and B2B scope. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to internal control processes, risk management practices, and cross-functional collaboration within an international energy business.
Your Mission
As an Internal Controller Intern, you will support the Internal Control team in ensuring the effectiveness of the control environment and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the Income Program activities alongside the network of internal control coordinators, including:
- Monitoring self-assessments;
- Following up remediation action plans;
- Supporting control framework improvements.
- Participating in the execution of independent reviews across entities within the scope.
- Supporting the monitoring of Segregation of Duties (SoD) applications by:
- Identifying and helping remediate incompatibilities in collaboration with IT and business teams;
- Performing second-level control activities.
- Contributing to internal control reporting and documentation.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented student eager to develop expertise in internal control, governance, and risk management within an international environment.
Hard Skills
- Strong interest in Finance, Internal Control, Audit, or Risk Management.
- Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand and document business processes and control activities.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written communication and documentation abilities.
- High level of reliability, accuracy, and commitment to quality deliverables.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including management, business experts, and IT teams.
- Proactive mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree student (Bac +4/Bac +5) in Finance, Audit, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Control, or a related field.
- Previous internship experience in finance, audit, consulting, risk management, or internal control is a plus.
Languages
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- French is a plus.
