We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced fuel cell systems for stationary power applications.
The successful candidate will lead systems engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that customer, regulatory, performance, and safety requirements are properly defined, allocated, verified, and validated.
This role requires strong expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements management, system architecture, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex electro-mechanical, thermal, or energy systems and be comfortable interfacing with engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead systems engineering activities for stationary fuel cell products and Balance of Plant (BoP) subsystems.
Capture, analyze, and manage stakeholder, customer, regulatory, and product requirements.
Develop and maintain requirements traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Manage requirements using tools such as Polarion, DOORS, or equivalent requirements management platforms.
Define system architectures, interfaces, functional decompositions, and verification strategies.
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to support system definition, design, and validation activities.
Develop and maintain system models, use cases, functional architectures, and interface definitions.
Coordinate requirements allocation across hardware, software, controls, electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering teams.
Support hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safety engineering activities.
Define verification and validation plans and ensure compliance with product requirements.
Support system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Facilitate technical reviews and ensure alignment between system requirements and product design.
What we expect
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in systems engineering for complex industrial, energy, aerospace, automotive, or electro-mechanical systems.
Demonstrated experience managing requirements using Polarion, DOORS, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, including requirements management, architecture development, verification, and validation.
Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and methodologies.
Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with fuel cells, hydrogen technologies, stationary power systems, distributed energy resources, or renewable energy systems.
Knowledge of system integration involving mechanical, electrical, software, controls, and thermal subsystems.
Experience with safety-critical or highly regulated products.
Familiarity with industry standards and development processes for energy systems.
Understanding of verification planning, test management, and product certification activities.
