Structural Equipment Calculation Engineer - Steel Structures M - F M - F 1 H/F Bouygues Construction

Based at the headquarters in Guyancourt, within the Steel Structure competence center of the central engineering department of Bouygues Bâtiment International, you position yourself as a steel structure specialist in charge of calculating the equipment required for the execution of our construction projects in France and abroad.

Your main missions:

- Carry out feasibility studies as well as preliminary structural sizing in order to prepare cost estimates,
- Propose design solutions taking into account manufacturing constraints and erection aspects, in alignment with all trades,
- Draft execution calculation notes as well as assumption notes,
- Provide the designer with the necessary information for the preparation of execution drawings,
- Propose improvement actions in terms of safety, ergonomics, productivity, and environmental performance,
- Anticipate and raise alerts on unresolved technical issues.

What if it's you?

With an engineering degree, university background, BTS, DUT or equivalent training, you have at least 3 years of experience in the field of steel structures, preferably acquired within a company specialized in this sector. The desired expertise should particularly cover preliminary sizing calculations and technical optimization.

You master the technical and regulatory standards applied to steel structures, as well as technical drawing rules, construction methods in the building industry, and the EN NF 1090-2 standard. You have practical knowledge of Autocad, Revit, SCIA, ROBOT, Idea Statica or equivalent, as well as the Office suite. You hold a category B driving licence.

You are recognized for your communication skills and you enjoy working in a team.

Regular travel between the headquarters in Guyancourt and the equipment base in Chilly-Mazarin is expected, as well as occasional trips abroad or within France.

A good command of English would be an asset.
