Les missions du poste

Main purpose of the job:

Ensure the delivery of the Works/Areas/Buildings defined as their scope of works, including H&S,

Planning, Contract, Design, Nuclear Safety, Configuration, Integration, Quality and Construction.

Key duties and responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Coordinate and prepare call for tender phase until award and kick off meeting with contractors.
  • Being the Operational Lead of their scope, Coordination, planning and sequencing in order to meet contract/client's milestone (RFOC, RFE, Annex L, IC milestone...).
  • Delivering the scope with the approved quality and deadlines according to internal procedures and within the frame of the various TB Contracts in place. Follow up of takeover and transfer to close out phase.
  • Providing technical direction and instructions (including technical EI's) to TB Contractors and recommendations for F4E to instruct Contractors when contracts are impacted (final decision on contract and costs belongs to the Employer). Recommendations are made through Technical Recommendations Sheets (TRS).
  • Partaking in the deviation process related to their various scope (mainly Contractors SDRs, MFs, IARs, and NCRs).
  • Providing reporting to Delivery Team Managers.
  • Being the main point of contact pertaining to coordination and planning of design, construction and testing activities within their scope for TB Contractors and for F4E Contract.
  • Being the internal project delivery manager. Coordinate and support internal documentation, review and prioritization within project delivery team, and escalating to Delivery Team Managers where necessary for arbitration and workload forecasts.
  • Operational matters transverse to several TBs or to several areas, liaising with others Project Coordinators and Delivery Team Managers.
  • Managing interfaces of their scope (internal and with other external scope) and escalating to Delivery Team Managers where necessary.
  • Exchanging best practices with the rest of the team, helping develop tools to simplify the day-to-day work.

Le profil recherché

COMMON PROJECT CORE SKILLS - GENERAL

  • Nuclear safety culture (L4): Knowledge of the ITER safety reference, 5 years' experience in nuclear projects, Role of transmission of the safety culture, questioning and learning attitude.
  • Quality culture (L4): Person with a partial view of the global process. Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 / order 07/02/2012 and ITER framework. Knowledge and application of process / procedures related to their discipline, questioning and learning attitude, proposal of improvements.
  • English (L4): Proficient C1: Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Documentation Culture (L3): Understanding of the importance of documentation in a complex project, knowledge of the document lifecycle and importance of documentation traceability.
  • HSE (L4): Ability to organize and conduct safety studies or audits.
  • Knowledge of engineering jobs (L4): Understanding of Engineering trades and in the project lifecycle, force of proposals.
  • Knowledge of worksite progress & life (L5): Detailed Knowledge of the current worksite progress.

COMMON PROJECT CORE SKILLS - BEHAVIORAL & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Spoken Communication skills (L5): Ability to interact with and influence all types of interlocutors, to present one's ideas in an assertive manner, to take into account the constraints of others, to propose solutions, to be a facilitator and decision-maker. Empathy, taking into account the constraints of others, adapting to one's interlocutor(s), listening, ability to convince, presenting one's ideas, speaking, stress management, mastering communication tools.
  • Written Communication skills (L4): Write and correct contractual letters and procedures, relevant use of all the communication tools, clear and factual writing skills.
  • Management (L4): Ability to motivate and mobilize people skills individually and collectively.

COMMON PROJECT CORE SKILLS - TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to read plans or models (L3): Reads and understands title blocks, identifies different views, understands the dimension scales, can read, recognize and understand the position according to the number and type of elements according to fields, has knowledge of conventional symbols, types and styles of lines, abbreviations, vocabulary, locate and orient a plan relative to the building, structure or system.
  • Knowledge & practice of ITER Codes, norms, standards by trades* (L4): Makes decisions, experience.
  • Decision-making Analysis Tools (L3): Good skills in decision analysis tools. Can participate to analysis and source of proposals.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in general engineering.
  • Specialization in either civil works or Mechanical/Electrical field is a plus.
  • Specific trainings/certifications in Project Management are a plus.

Key personality characteristics/abilities:

  • Ability to deal with complex problems.
  • Ability to deal with the clients / represent the company/ pro active client relationship.
  • Strong Management Skills.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years in Project Management.
  • Relevant work experience on complex and large engineering/industrial project.
