Our growth is driving us to strengthen our SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team to bolster technical leadership across our infrastructure.
Your mission will be to provide technical leadership for the entire SRE community at Scaleway in order to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our sovereign cloud platform.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

We work in a collaborative and international environment where the diversity of Scalers, combined with a spirit of sharing, helps bring new projects to life every day, advancing our ambitions together.
You will work closely with 8 Lead SREs and providing guidance to a community of 40 to 60 SREs. This role covers the entirety of our Public Cloud platform (Elements).

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

- Drive technical leadership and high-level strategy for the entire SRE organization.
- Oversee and mentor 8 Lead SREs, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Manage and optimize large-scale projects across the entire Elements/Public Cloud platform.
- Navigate complex architectural challenges requiring rapid context switching.
- Establish best practices for reliability, monitoring, and incident response at scale.
- Act as a bridge between various engineering teams to ensure global system stability.
- Identify and mitigate technical debt that impacts cross-platform reliability.
- Provide expert guidance on high-load, distributed infrastructure.
- Continuously evolve our SRE practices to stay at the cutting edge of cloud technology.

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS:
- Extensive senior-level experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps.
- Deep mastery of high-load, distributed systems and public cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in a wide array of infrastructure tools and languages (the "Everything" stack).
- Strong track record of technical leadership in large-scale engineering organizations.

SOFT SKILLS:
- Benevolence and a high degree of empathy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong curiosity and a continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to handle rapid context switching in a fast-paced environment.
