Industrial Engineer - Railway Sector H/F HOUSE OF ABY

We keep growing in the mobility and railway sector, and we are currently looking for a CAD Engineer (Railway Interiors) to support one of our main clients in Barcelona.

Your Mission

We are looking for a hybrid profile : 50% Mechanical Designer / 50% Production Engineer, someone who enjoys 3D design with Catia V5, but also being on the shopfloor, close to operations, solving issues, validating assemblies and contributing directly to the manufacturing process.

You will work in the Interiors Department, designing and validating components for the inside of the train (panels, structures, interior assemblies) and ensuring correct manufacturability and installation on site.

What would you be doing in your daytoday ?

Coordination with Production
- Review the daily retrofeed from the workshop : verify what went well, deviations, issues, and corrective actions.
- Support production in the mechanical validation of assemblies.
- Follow up manufacturing activities, including :
> Sheetmetal cutting,
> Assembly validation,
> Paint / finishing review.
- Verify tolerances, tolerance chains, and the realworld assembly against the 3D design.
- Work closely with operators, supervisors, and quality teams to solve issues directly on the shopfloor.

Technical Development & Design
- Conception assemblages for the interior trim of rolling stock (Catia V5).
- Creation and update of cahiers des charges, technical documentation, and requirements.
- Analysis of calculation notes, application to the design, and dimensional validation.
- Cost estimation of manufacturing and assembly, proposing optimizations.
- Preparation of daily technical reports for both design and production teams.
- Sending the updated design to France in the afternoon, reporting errors, blockages, and improvement proposals.

Supplier & Subcontractor Management
- Coordination and oversight of subcontractors and technical suppliers.
- Validation of proposals, technical review, and followup of supplier deliverables.

Project Interaction

You will work closely with :
- Production, Quality & Workshop Supervisors,
- Technical Office (Spain - France),
- Purchasing & Industrialization teams.
