Head of Consumer Communications (PR, Influencer & Brand Social) - France (Maternity Cover)

We're looking for a Head of Consumer Communications for France on a maternity cover basis. Based in our Paris office and reporting to the Global Head of Consumer Comms, you will act as the strategic architect and operational anchor for our PR, influencer marketing, and brand social channels.
What You'll Be Doing
You will lead the charge in making Deliveroo the most talked-about and front-of-mind food app in France. This is a senior leadership role that balances high-level creative vision with the rigour of matrixed stakeholder management.
- Strategic & Creative Leadership: Define the consumer communications strategy for France. You'll develop insight-led, integrated campaigns that drive share of voice and brand affinity across PR and social platforms (especially Meta and TikTok).
- Integrated Campaign Execution: Oversee the planning and delivery of major launches, press office activity, events, and activations. You will ensure Deliveroo shows up authentically in French culture.
- Brand Social & Content: Lead the vision for owned social channels, managing content creation, community management, and paid amplification to ensure our "voice" is distinctive and engaging.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to the French Marketing, Commercial, and Leadership teams, ensuring every comms plan directly supports local business priorities.
- Media & Reputation Management: Safeguard our brand reputation by drafting media statements and preparing senior leaders for press engagements, working closely with Corporate Communications and Public Affairs colleagues.
- People & Agency Management: Lead and develop your direct report and dotted-line social team members. You will also manage external agencies, ensuring they deliver high performance and creative value.
What You'll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned comms leader with sharp creative instincts and a "bias for action":
- Linguistic Mastery: You must be fluent in French with professional-level English.
- Senior Experience: Significant experience in consumer PR, communications, or brand marketing, specifically leading integrated campaigns for major consumer brands.
- Market Expertise: A deep understanding of the French media landscape and influencer ecosystem.
- Strategic Execution: The ability to move from high-level strategy to day-to-day execution without losing sight of the "big picture."
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, international organization.
