The role

As a Lead Cloud Engineer (all genders), you will contribute to the design, development, and support of cloud-based solutions within the Oracle Retail / Xstore POS ecosystem. You bring strong technical experience, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to building reliable and scalable systems that support business-critical operations.

Role responsibilities

- Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools
- Develop and maintain backend services and automation scripts
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient deployments
- Provide L2/L3 support, including incident troubleshooting and resolution
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document findings clearly
- Collaborate with engineers, operations, and business teams to support Oracle Retail solutions
- Manage source code using version control systems and follow best practices
- Support the stability, performance, and security of cloud-based environments

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Shell
- Backend development experience using Python, Java, or similar languages
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or Ansible)
- Experience using version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab)
- Proven experience providing L2/L3 production support, including troubleshooting and RCA documentation
- Upper-intermediate English level (spoken and written)

Nice to have qualifications

The following are beneficial but not required:

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Experience with Xstore POS or Oracle Retail solutions
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or cloud-native monitoring services
- Experience working in a retail or enterprise systems environment
- A collaborative, supportive, and conscientious working style
- Interest in continuously improving system reliability and operational processes
