YOUR EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE IF YOU JOIN US
As part of a Global Food Certification Team, we are recruiting a Food Certification Market Leader on a CDI (permanent) contract.
Reporting to LaureAnne, Sustainability and Food Certification Market Leader, you will join a team of 12 professionals.
The position can be based in Europe - at one of our European agencies.
You will work closely with our operational teams and our clients within the framework of global food safety and sustainability certification services.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
Your mission is to drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of food safety management systems while establishing Bureau Veritas as the thoughtleader in food safety & sustainability certification and compliance across all regions, ensuring competitive advantage and revenue growth.
Your role is essential to position Bureau Veritas as the market authority and to deliver scalable, clientfacing solutions.
You will:
- Business Development & Strategy - translate international food safety and sustainability standards into scalable audit frameworks and service offerings; develop strategic roadmaps, identify market opportunities and drive revenue growth; create new offers from business plan to implementation; lead strategic discussions to improve sales and operations.
- Leadership & Global Coordination - lead the global food certification tribe, foster crossregional collaboration and knowledge sharing; chair monthly strategic meetings with regional managers and certification leaders; mentor foodsafety professionals worldwide; represent Bureau Veritas at international events and with scheme owners.
- Service Delivery & Technical Excellence - develop customized audit methodologies and checklists for large customers; lead international client meetings for tenders and strategic projects; produce sales and marketingmaterials (webinars, white papers, tools); ensure audit quality and accreditation compliance.
- Change Management & Influence - drive global adoption of new standards; secure organisational buyin; lead with influence to embed best practices across regions.
- Communication & ProblemSolving - translate complex standards into actionable guidance; address compliance challenges; mentor talent and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
Do you have deep standards expertise?
You will master GFSI schemes (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, IFS), ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP and sustainability standards (ASC, MSC, BAP, Global GAP, labelling). You will be able to develop audit protocols, translate standards into clientready systems and identify compliance gaps with precision.
Are you a strategic leader?
You will shape Bureau Veritas' thoughtleadership, drive serviceinnovation roadmaps and understand market dynamics to generate measurable revenue growth.
Do you excel at relationship management?
You will build strong partnerships with clients, scheme owners and industry associations, and collaborate seamlessly across regions and functions to deliver consistent value.
Are you skilled in change management and influence?
You will drive global adoption of new standards, secure organisational buyin and lead with influence, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous improvement.
Do you have outstanding communication and problemsolving abilities?
You will translate complex standards into actionable guidance, resolve compliance challenges efficiently and mentor talent to raise overall team performance.
Are you comfortable with audit & service development?
You will design customized audit methodologies, analyse supplychain risk data and create robust documentation systems that meet accreditation requirements and client expectations.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
You have 5+ years of experience, ideally with a strong interest in food safety and sustainability certification. A Master's degree is required.
