Global Category Buyer - Glass H/F Pernod Ricard

The position reports directly to the Global Category Director

Your key missions:

Operational Support

- Lead the analysis and reporting on savings, spend coverage, supplier performance and other procurement KPIs to generate actionable insights.
- Performs price comparisons and supplier benchmarking to support sourcing decisions & negotiations
- Actively participates in budgeting process and updates, in collaboration, with the Global Category Managers
- Follows Category market inflation and updates cost models adopted with suppliers
- Provide support on productivity pipeline, including cost and savings analysis, owns Wave (savings reporting) process
- Lead on data improvement, including cleansing, reporting and aligning dashboards to ensure accurate reporting
- Assists with SRM processes including supplier capacity, supply risks and allocations, to ensure quality, service, cost and performance KPIs are met
- Manages categories / subcategories / specific dry goods suppliers as appropriate
- Supports S&R roadmap elaboration, working in partnership with category team, S&R team, suppliers and proximity teams
- Category champion for data workstreams as well as governance & compliance requirements on behalf of the category e.g. Sedex, Digital transformation

Strategy & Performance Management

- Provide analytical support to Global teams in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and in preparation for tenders.
- Prepare decision-making dashboards, reports, and recommendations for strategic procurement initiatives.
- Manages global budgeting & performance/pipeline tracking process for category responsible

Contribute to supplier feedback processes by gathering and structuring relevant data

Performance Management and Cross Functional Support (cont.)

- Actively seek to identify improvement areas and build procurement excellence in tools, processes, policy and ways of working
- Implement plans, follow closely with affiliates on identified local initiatives, provide escalation support to find solutions
- Participate actively in the procurement community, contributing to the sharing of benchmarks, guidelines, and best practices.

- Experienced professional with successful 5+ years record in a procurement organisation, ideally within a FMCG multi-cultural organisation
- Advanced analytical skills & data driven. Good understanding of financial and commercial context of direct packaging, knowledge of direct packaging supplier market preferrable
- Experienced in analyzing spend, needs, KPIs and supporting the realization of category strategy in an autonomous position
- An understanding of procurement processes and contract management basics
- Advanced problem-solving and good negotiation skills. Strong communication skills: verbal and presenting, proficient in English
