The Enterprise Data platforms enable the platform has developed an integrated and intuitive databases, integration and analytics platform. This platform enables Lilly business functions enables quickly utilize the database services, integration services and analytics platform.
Roles & Responsibilities
Tableau & BI Platform:
- Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server environments Multi node Architecture
- Manage Tableau users, groups, sites, projects, permissions, and security settings.
- Monitor server performance and conduct regular maintenance, backups, and upgrades.
- Automate server tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Tabcmd, Tableau REST API, PowerShell, Python).
- Leadversion upgrades, patch management, and migration projects across multiple platforms.
- Experience on any performance monitoring tool
- Plan and executecapacity planning, resource scaling, and performance tuningfor diverse BI tools.
- Integrate BI platforms withSSO/SAML/Active Directoryfor authentication and access control.
- Automate admin and deployment tasks usingPython scriptingandSQL queriesfor monitoring, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Develop and maintaindisaster recoveryandbusiness continuitystrategies for all BI tools.
- Monitor usage analytics andgenerate utilization reportsfor platform performance, user adoption, and resource optimization.
- Enforce compliance withdata securityandaudit requirements.
- Mentor junior admins and lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, security, and BI teams.
- Establish standard operating procedures and documentation for platform administration.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements for scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and optimize complex data solutions.
MS Fabric:
·Strong hands-on expertise withMicrosoft Fabric,Azure Data Factory, and related technologies.
·Proficient inFabric data ingestion from multiple sources, designing and maintaining data pipelines, and troubleshooting.
·Monitoring and analysingpipeline execution logsto identify, diagnose, and resolve errors or performance bottlenecks.
·Implementingautomated alerts and error-handling mechanismsto proactively detect failures and ensure high availability.
·Proficient inSQL,DAX, and other data query languages for analytics, administration, and automation.
·Strong knowledge ofETL/ELT processes,data integration, andpipeline design.
·Experienced withMicrosoft Azureservices includingAzure Data LakeandAzure SQL Database.
·Skilled indata governance,security,logs monitoring, andaudit trail managementto ensure compliance.
·Manageinstallation, configuration, upgrades, and patchingof Fabric and related services.
·Monitorsystem health, usage metrics, and performance, providing optimization recommendations.
·Conductaudit reviewsof access, workspace activity, and dataset refresh history.
·Adept at working inagile environmentsand collaborating with cross-functional teams.
·Strongproblem-solving and optimizationskills for complex data solutions.
·Expertise indata modellingandsecurity configurationwithin Fabric and Power BI.
·Understanding ofData Science conceptsand experience handling large-scale datasets.
·Collaborative mindset, working effectively with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
IBM Watson explorer:
·Strong hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and optimization of Watson Explorer products, including Foundational Components and Analytical Components.
·Lead and manage the full upgrade from Watson Explorer (12.03.xx)
·Ensure compatibility, stability, and integration with existing enterprise systems.
·Plan and coordinate upgrade timelines, dependencies, and deliverables with technical and business stakeholders.
·Configure and enhance collections to ensure accurate indexing, search relevance, and optimized query performance.
·Develop, modify, and troubleshoot REST API integrations for data ingestion, search queries, and external application connectivity.
·Conduct comprehensive testing ( integration, regression, and performance) to validate system readiness.
·Troubleshoot and resolve upgrade-related issues, ensuring data consistency, search accuracy, and performance tuning.
·Monitor and analyse system logs, API error reports, and performance metrics to proactively address issues.
·Implement security best practices for both collection data and API endpoints.
·Prepare clear technical documentation covering migration steps, collection configurations, API endpoints, and operational guidelines
·Work closely with application teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues such as slowness, incomplete data ingestion, or data mismatch.
·Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to identify, analyse, and resolve system connectivity, latency, and performance bottlenecks.
·Take ownership of tasks, lead technical activities, and guide team members throughout project delivery.
Additional Information:
- Proficient in one of the above area or technology (fabric/powerBI/IBM Watson) is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible work hours is/may be required. This team will support continuous operations across two shifts and therefore, this role will require non-standard work hours, and some work on weekends and holidays. Appropriate adjustments in benefits will be provided for employees working non-standard hours where applicable.
