Coordinateur HSE H/F ABYSS ENERGY

We are seeking an HSE Coordinator / Officer to perform the services described in this specification.

PROFILE

The ideal candidate is an engineering professional with experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management within industrial or Oil & Gas projects.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, HSE Management, Industrial Risk Management, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Additional training or certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent) is an asset.
- Previous experience in construction yards, fabrication, or port activities is preferred.

MISSIONS:

The services are to be carried out independently, under the supervision of the Project Manager, and in coordination with other disciplines.
The main tasks include:

- Act as the client's HSE Site Representative, monitoring subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with contractual and legal HSE requirements, and reporting to the HSE Scope Lead.
- Participate in or lead site HSE inspections and audits, ensuring follow-up and closure of corrective actions.
- Participate in incident investigations and review site HSE reports.
- Support the communication and implementation of HSE campaigns and lessons learned to subcontractors.
- Ensure effective written and verbal communication, including proficient use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractor site management and supervisors, acting as the client's HSE representative on site.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to convey information clearly, promote understanding, and support sound decision-making.

COMPETENCIES

For the performance of these services, the Subcontractor must propose a candidate with the following skills and experience in the Oil & Gas sector:

- Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken).
- Good knowledge of IOGP Report 577.
- Familiarity with national and international regulations governing yard fabrication activities, lifting operations, and port operations.
