Détail du poste

What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Design System & Accessibility Team and help us become the #1 digital and secure medical companion for patients.

We are part of the Platform domain, whose mission is to build and maintain the common building blocks of our system with a "Platform as a Product" mindset. We abstract and simplify the use of these complex, critical components, enabling product teams to focus on their core mission: building products faster for healthcare professionals and patients.

More specifically, you'll join a team of engineers working on advanced frontend development topics and helping spread state-of-the-art workflows and practices.

As a Frontend Platform team, we support and empower all other Doctolib Tech and Product teams to create accessible and best-in-class user experience frontend applications.

We achieve our mission by providing a web and mobile design system, by writing supporting tooling around it and the accessibility topic, and giving guidance as accessibility experts.

As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Design, build, and maintain a scalable React Design System built with TypeScript, ensuring a consistent, accessible, and high-performance user experience across Doctolib's web and mobile applications.
- Collaborating with feature teams ensuring that the platform aligns with the needs and requirements of our developers.
- Work hand-in-hand with Product Designers to translate Figma designs into robust, reusable UI components, ensuring visual and functional parity between design and code.
- Champion accessibility (A11y) by embedding inclusive design principles into our Design System, developing accessible components, and providing guidance and tooling to help product teams build compliant and user-friendly experiences.
- Drive adoption and quality of the Design System by supporting teams, improving documentation, establishing usage guidelines, and gathering feedback to inform ongoing improvements.
- Contribute to the Design System's technical vision and roadmap, identifying opportunities for automation, scalability, and innovation in UI development workflows.
- Leverage AI technologies to amplify the Design System's adoption and developer experience (DevX), applying prompting and context engineering to create intelligent assistants, automation, and migration tools that help developers build user interfaces more efficiently.
- Occasionally extend your impact beyond the frontend, improving scripts, build processes, or CI workflows that support efficient delivery of the Design System.

About our tech environment

- Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements. To address these challenges, we are modularizing our platform run in a distributed architecture through reusable components.
- Our stack is composed of Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift and React Native.
- We leverage AI in an ethical manner across our products to empower patients and health professionals. Discover our AI vision here and learn about our first AI hackathon here!

Who you are

If you don't meet all the requirements below but believe this opportunity matches your expectations and experience, we still encourage you to apply!

You could be our next team mate if you:

- Have 5+ years of experience in Engineering;
- Have a strong understanding of Design System architecture, component-driven development, and the collaboration between design and engineering.
- Have experience applying or promoting Accessibility (A11y) best practices (WCAG, ARIA, semantic HTML, assistive technology testing).
- Are eager to be hands-on with our stack: we use React and TypeScript, with Ruby on Rails/Java backends;
- Understand the value of testing and code quality as foundations for scalable and robust interfaces;
- Have the ability to adapt and choose the most efficient technologies to solve complex UX and engineering challenges;
- Have proven experience developing efficient, maintainable and secure products;
- Are comfortable speaking English in your day to day with the team;

Now, it would be fantastic if you:

- Have hands-on experience with React Native or experience building UI for native platforms;
- Have a great understanding of JS/TS building and packaging processes;
- Have a great understanding of web application performances tuning;
