Post-Doctorat - Transport Properties And X-Ray Absorption Of Warm Dense Metals H/F CEA

We have an opening position for a Postdoctoral Research Staff Member in the field of plasma physics. You will be integrated in a team of experimental physicists conducting high pulsed power and laser driven-shock experiments to understand problems in the edge of warm dense matter. The research seeks to advance transport properties of warm dense metals in the expanded regime, through a combination of on-site experiments at CEA DAM Île-de-France and X-ray absorption experimental campaigns at the European Synchrotron Research Facility. Experimental results will be interpreted using numerical simulations and analysis tools, but also in collaboration with theoretical physicists performing ab initio computations.
- Conducting research in the area of warm dense matter using high pulsed power and laser power facilities.
- Designing new experiments, developing and maintaining electrical and optical diagnostics.
- Interpreting measurements and performing numerical simulations.
- Comparing experimental data and numerical results to provide new interpretations and advanced physics understranding.
- Working as a team member among experimental and theoretical physicists.
- Publishing/presenting your research results in peer reviewed scientific journals and international conferences.
