The Team

Ankorstore partners with brands to grow their wholesale business through simple, efficient, and cost-effective ways to connect with independent retailers, process orders and handle logistics.

In order to deliver the best experience possible to the retailers, we need to accompany those brands through a best in class account management. That's the mission of the French Brand Success Team, that is responsible for managing and growing brands available on Ankorstore.

As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Category Managers and Head of Sales to drive growth within a specific category.

Your Sales mindset will be central in your position as you'll be responsible for the business growth of your category.

The team values collaboration, curiosity, and a customer-centric approach to achieve exceptional results in the ever-evolving e-commerce landscape.

Main Responsibilities

As a Category Manager Associate, you will be the engine behind the growth of a dedicated portfolio of brands. You will report to a Category Manager and focus on one goal: increasing the B2B sales of your category.

Grow Your Category Business :

- Portfolio Management: Own a portfolio of brands to help them grow their B2B sales.
- Identify and nurture brands with potential within your category "unlock" them through coaching on their pricing, catalog, and wholesale strategy.
- Maintain and nurture a close relationship with top brands driving overall GMV and impacting your category's gross margin.
- Commercially animate the category (event preparation, offers, promoting new feature adoption, etc.).
- Ensure a high brand satisfaction rate and minimize churn.

Report on the Category Performance :

- Build and present regular updates on the performance of the category.
- Report on the impact of the latest actions taken within the category.
- Share your perspective on what needs to be done to grow your category business.

Shape and Build the Future of the Category :

- Contribute to the evolution of our value proposition - Be proactive in suggesting continuous product improvements.
- Collect and synthesize customer feedback to inform our product roadmap.
- Work closely with Product & Tech teams for the continuous improvement of the category (search, ranking, offer management, etc.).

Requirements

- A first successful experience (Internship or 1-3 years) in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management (Marketplace or SaaS experience is a huge plus).
- Sales Instinct: You love the challenge of convincing a partner. You are comfortable with cold/warm calling and negotiation.
- Account Management Skills: You know how to build a relationship, but more importantly, how to drive that relationship toward a business objective.
- Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets. You don't just look at numbers; you look for the "why" and the "so what."
- Resilience & Structure: In a fast-paced environment, you can prioritize the 20% of actions that will bring 80% of the growth.
- Fluent French speaker (you will be speaking with many French brands so will need to be Native or very high working proficiency)
- Professional English for internal collaboration
- You are based in Paris or can get to Paris easily (we will require somebody to be in the office 4 days per week to foster team spirit and fast learning)
