As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll BE responsible for ensuring that our services are designed, deployed, and operated at scale, with high availability and performance in mind. You'll work closely with our infrastructure teams and business units build and maintain the necessary infrastructure and tooling that underpins our platform's reliability. Your expertise will help drive innovation and operational excellence throughout our infrastructure lifecycle.
What will you do?
- Collaborate and share with the team
- Support business lines to build, maintain, develop and migrate their current solutions across our infrastructure
- Manage, innovate, and create Shared services and tooling that continuously improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Worldline
- Work cross-functionally to build fast, reliable, and resilient infrastructure production systems
- Develop your own tooling, with either simple scripting or advanced programming language
- Develop, configure and enhance our automation stack and our CI/CD pipelines.
- Create Documentation that every collaborator can use, improve and share. Technical documentation and user documentation.
- Daily operational tasks (change management, infrastructure monitoring, new deployment and decomissions...)
- Secure our services, since in our line of business, the payment industry, security is must and should BE taken into account from the very beginning
- Ensure our infrastructure meets all the compliance, strategy, and obsolescence deadlines
Who are you?
- Academic or Masters level of education or equivalent by experience
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of VMware/Broadcom ecosystem experience in a HA environment
- Self-starter, autonomous
- Comfortable in development/programming skills
- Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels in the organization
- Quick learner
- Ability to make your way through a complex automation stack and organization autonomously
- Automation is your answer to (almost) everything
- Believe in Infrastructure as Code
- Target 0 support solution and self-healing systems
- Security minded
- Ability to find trade of in :
- stability vs. agility,
- operational work vs. software engineering,
- proactive vs. reactive work
Must have
- Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere, knowledge of other virtualization technologies is also appreciated
- Used to working with source version control like Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, GIT flows and CICD
- Used to working with Terraform (we aim that all pieces of infra is defined with code)
- Comfortable with scripting (PowerCLI / python / ruby / puppet / CICD)
- Understanding of network protocol (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing...)
- Prior experience as an SRE or in a similar operational role
- Experience with multi DC setup
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Used to working in a fully-remote and multicultural environment
Nice to have
- Knowledge of other security standards (ANSSI SecNumCloud, SWIFT...)
- Experience with security standards (PCI-DSS...)
- Certifications in cloud provider technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, PagerDuty, New Relic,)
- Understanding of compliance and security best practices in a cloud environment
