Could you BE the full-time Earthing and Bonding (E&B) Engineer in Paris, France we're looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our systems by addressing Earthing and Bonding (E&B) and stray current challenges. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including Consortium Partners, civil work partners, and third-party stakeholders), develop technical documentation, and conduct site measurements and analysis, among other responsibilities.
You'll specifically take care of identifying and mitigating potential E&B and stray current risks, but also contribute to the development of robust technical solutions and standards.
We'll look to you for :
Detecting and addressing potential E&B and stray current issues early in the project lifecycle
Supporting the Technical Project Manager with E&B and stray current expertise
Identifying E&B and stray current interfaces and ensuring alignment with stakeholders
Issuing and maintaining principle documents and calculation notes
Conducting on-site measurements (e.g., earth resistivity, earth electrode, track-to-earth insulation)
Choosing and justifying mitigation measures (e.g., E&B, corrosion by stray current, lightning, return circuit)
Preparing high-quality technical documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and reports
Applying E&B and stray current standards and fulfilling compliance matrices
Supporting the Quality team in verifying proper implementation of E&B rules
Ensuring adherence to submittal schedules and relevant processes, methods, and tools
Sharing lessons learned and best practices from previous projects
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role :
A university degree in Electrical Engineering (Engineer or PhD), specializing in Electrical Engineering and Electrotechnics
Knowledge and several years of experience in E&B, electrical distribution (HV, LV, and Traction), stray current (including cathodic protection), lightning, specification, and testing
Proficiency in Matlab
Experience in a railway environment
Fluency in French (native level) and strong technical English communication skills
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also :
Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from repetitive routines
Work with cutting-edge security standards for rail signalling
Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
Contribute to innovative and impactful projects
Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning programs
Progress towards senior technical or leadership roles
Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don't need to BE a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll BE proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you !
