What You'll Do :
The North American Supply Planning Scheduler position is accountable for managing all aspects of production planning activities in the Americas region. The Scheduler also manages restocking and order fulfillment of warehouse locations.
The Supply Planning Scheduler position is vital to the continued success of the Americas Logistics organization. The role liaises between Production personnel, Corporate Operations, Process and Technology, other organizations within Global and Americas Logistics, lab personnel, and suppliers to ensure that Lubrizol meets their customer's expectations and ships materials in a timely manner. IT is also vital that the Scheduler work closely with Domestic and Export Customer Experience Representatives and Supplier Owned Inventory Coordinators to answer orders and coordinate supply. The Scheduler is the primary day-to-day planning contact for their respective areas of responsibility.
Schedulers develop great insight into Lubrizol's product lines, customers, supply chain, and systems continually gaining experience that increases their overall value within the Supply Chain organization.
What We're Looking For :
- Plan/schedule production as required to meet internal and external demand.
- The primary scheduling tools are planning screens in SAP
- Coordinate schedule changes as needed and communicate them effectively
- Expedite orders as priorities dictate
- Troubleshoot planning issues as necessary
- Complete timely month-end inventory reconciliations
- Order raw materials as required for the planned production batches
- Manage inventories of assigned raw materials and intermediates to mandated days-of-coverage targets
- Track misrouted raw materials / intermediates as needed and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Enter replenishment and transfer orders for key raw materials / intermediates as needed
- Review requests for stock transfers from other LZ plants and planners
- Answer orders as required by customers and liaise with CER's to meet customer needs
- Liaise between the Supply Planning Group and Production/Warehousing, Corporate entities, vendors, Export and Domestic CERs, Supplier Owned Inventory Coordinators, Custom Manufacturing Managers, and Raw Material Sourcing Managers
- Communicate effectively with colleagues by alerting them of the status of items and / or changes
- Answer requests from internal customers in a timely manner
- Attend required production and shutdown meetings as needed
- Plan/support planning of necessary transportation activities for supported facilities
- Provide advice and guidance to the Supply Planning Manager and other personnel within LZA Americas Logistics organizations
- Assist with set up' and standardization of new systems/T-Plants as necessary
- Provide back-up support of other Planners when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Skills That Make a Difference :
- Minimum five (5) years of professional supply chain experience including detailed scheduling, inventory planning and management, and MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple complex tasks effectively/efficiently
- Ability to investigate, summarize, offer creative solutions, take initiative, and work independent of supervision
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Reliable attendance record
Considered a Plus :
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA
- Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response
