Context :
We need Senior Project Engineering Manager in Oil and Gas sector contractor who has competences that meet the requirements of :
? Part of Oil and Gas sector Project Engineering Management team, for his responsibility has to analyse the situation of the project, highlight concerns and take necessary actions/mitigations
? Ensure that all points from the project set-up are followed by the disciplines under his responsibility and updated when required during the project execution
? Organisation and participate in and contribute to all required Project Meetings for the proper execution of the project
? Organize and conduct all the necessary regular, requested and exceptional meetings with the Engineering and Project teams under his responsibility in order to ensure a proper coordination of the project
? Participate (at least to the conclusion) in Engineering Discipline Reviews of the disciplines under his responsibility
? Ensure that Project Reviews are performed and close out of actions are properly done for the discipline under his responsibility
? Support of the preparation of the Gate Review meetings
? Challenge all technical solutions/decisions before implementation in order to select the most appropriate one as per the project specificity
? Coordinate and incorporate of requirements from Authority Engineering and Notified Body
? Take technical decisions together with the discipline Lead Engineers during project execution, in accordance with contractual requirements. Align with Discipline Managers, if required.
The Senior Engineering Manager (SEM) is responsible for the performance of the engineering team as per the assigned responsibilities given to him within the project.
Missions :
? Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities in house and externally in any given location worldwide ;
? Managing multiple internal and external interfaces within project defined parameters in house and externally in any give
location worldwide ;
? Preparing reports for the Project Manager and / or Project Director ;
? Preparing and participating in the internal/external meetings with in house engineers, clients, vendors, external 3rd party
engineering companies etc.
? Ensuring implementation of capitalization items from previously executed project ;
? Preparing all documents within the scope of Engineering Management ;
? Responsible for overall project engineering man hour budget, schedule and quantities ;
? Finalizing the Basis of Design and Site Data Sheet and expediting the missing data; early activity schedule and preparation ;
of L3 schedule; challenge of the Start Estimate (Man-hours and bill of quantities) ;
Site Visits & Suppliers Visits may BE required.
Profile :
Engineering Graduate (Master's level, Bac +5) from a generalist or technically-oriented school (mechanical, chemical, electrical, civil, or industrial engineering), with at least 5 years of experience in similar position
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
Leadership and ability to manage engineering and technical teams (5-30 people)
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong negotiation, analytical, synthesis, and prioritization abilities
Organized, rigorous, decisive, dynamic, and available
Autonomous, proactive, and initiative-driven
SKILLS :
Knowledge on PIping documentation (P&ID, Isometric drawings, Equipment layout etc)
English fluent
