Les missions du poste
What will you BE doing?
As a Piping Engineer- you will join our team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will BE :
- Leading mechanical design activities, including wall thickness, buckling, spanning, expansion, and routing studies.
- Producing clear and concise specifications, datasheets, technical reports, and requisitions.
- Acting as the Intelligent Customer, working closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to develop detailed designs and manufacturing solutions.
- Contributing to design strategies related to Examination, Through Life Assessments, Component Safety Classification, Ageing Management, Material Selection, and Fluid Phenomena Design.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant design codes and standards.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Ability to analyse complex problems, propose innovative solutions, and ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
Le profil recherché
Experience, skills and qualifications required :
- Master's degree in Mechanical engineering, Piping engineering or a field related to Piping systems.
- Familiarity with PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) design, operations, and UK nuclear licensee projects.
- Understanding of Nuclear and Euro Design Codes (ASME III, EN13480, ASME B31.3, RCCM, ASCE 7-10).
- Operational lebvel in French and english
- Ability to analyze complex challenges, propose innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Knowledge of Pipe Stress and Seismic analysis tools like AutoPIPE, PepS, Caesar II, PSA5.
