Hosted in Paris' Station F at La Maison des Startups LVMH, GoldenEye Smart Vision has to address the challenge of setting a new frontier in textile quality control by both industrializing its current achievements and redefining the state of the art continuously.

About the job
As AI Lead, your responsibility is to contribute to defining the R&D roadmap, provide visibility to the partners on timelines and resources, and deliver measurable results.
Working with other scientists and engineers, you will supervise the research activity while being a key contributor. You will experiment, evaluate and improve our models, applying and refining state of the art methods. You should BE ready to take a step back and constructively challenge current processes and tooling.
While aspiring to create a stimulating and respectful work atmosphere, you should feel inclined to participate in your team members' growth, e.g. with mentoring.
Although the team is mostly composed of native French-speakers, we address a global market and are open to hire internationally. We expect you to BE at ease speaking, writing and reading in English.

About you
We are looking for an experienced AI researcher/engineer to become our lead AI scientist. Candidate is expected to have at least 3 years of experience in AI applied to computer vision and at least 5 years of total professional experience. More experienced candidates also welcome.

Hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tools (PyTorch, Tensorflow...)
Experience with vision models and computer vision techniques
Experience with multiscale analysis of gigapixel image
Experience with anomaly detection
Broad knowledge of current AI techniques
Proficient in Python
Ability to build/set up tools and pipelines from scratch
Professional English spoken and written
Strong communication skills, whether IT's distilling technical content to non-technical co-workers, or efficiently collaborating with peers
Team player, collaborative mindset

In addition, the following could BE an advantage
Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science or related quantitative field ; publications in highly ranked journals.
Proficiency in software engineering
Experience with industrial vision
Experience with infrastructure related processes for ML products (dataset management, model life cycle, deployment...)

Compensation
- €65,000 to €90,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience - outliers accepted.
- Equity : Stock options (BSPCE), aligned with your role in the product strategy.
- Location : Based at Station F (Paris).
